The Peninsula Point Lighthouse at the souther tip of Stonington peninsula in Delta County is 150 years old. We'll take all our Great Lakes music to help celebrate the event. The light tower is located at the end of County Road 513 from US 2, about 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Rapid River, Michigan. The road that progressively gets narrower and rougher, but the climb up the spiral staircase and the view from the ten-sided tower (which is open to the public), and is worth the trip.

The Blue Water Rambler Quintet is heading up to the stump fence capital of the world: Trufant in Montcalm County. Much of the white pine for rebuilding Chicago after the Mrs. O'Leary's cow burnt it down in 1871 came from Montcalm County. The farmers who came pulled up the stumps and used them to fence their fields. The Trufant Jubilee runs from Friday, September 4 through Sunday Sept. 6.
